"PREACHING IN DEMONSTRATION OF SPIRIT AND POWER!"
From 1 Cor. 2:4 and Paul's "preaching testimony": "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power." Residing in the metropolitan Philadelphia, PA area, I am available for an entire Sunday, that of Sunday School, AM, and PM services, even a Saturday if requested. At 72, I still work a full-time job of 45+ hours a week and thus Sunday to Wednesday meetings would have to be prayed about and a requested location considered. I do not intend to "ride hobbies", "push hot-buttons to get amens", nor am I set on "scattering a pastor's flock"...I am interested in the revival of Christians that they may return to holiness and be used as vessels of honor unto service for the Lord!
I "preach my teaching" which is intended not only for the ears but for the stirring of the believer's heart toward revival! The E A R must H E A R with the H E A R T responding with repentance, confession, and forsaking of sin. Information for Instruction, along with Exhortation toward the desired goal of Application! Information without Application leaves one in his unchanged spiritual condition!
I liked what A.W. Tozer said and have placed it inside my Bible cover: "I pray that I may be able to preach with such convicting power that my people will sweat! I do not want them to leave my services feeling good. The last thing I want to do is to give them some kind of religious tranquilizer--and let them go to hell in their relaxation. The messages preached in our churches should make backslidden Christians sweat--and if I achieve that objective when I preach, I thank God with all my heart, no matter what people think of me. Jesus is victor! Lord help me to preach with boldness--not concerned with what people think of me. Amen." AW Tozer
With the 3 great adversaries of the Christian, the world, the flesh, and the devil all at work against him...drying up Christians and dying-out churches are in desperate need of REVIVAL..FOR SURVIVAL! Please pray about my being used in your church, desiring the revival of your people!
